Terms of Use

What follows sets out the basis on which emileeid.com is made available. Carrying on past this page means the arrangement suits you; if it does not, no hard feelings — simply don’t use the site.

What you may do with our writing

Everything published here is criticism and general-interest reading, nothing more. Read as much of it as you like, mail a link to a friend, post one anywhere you please. Taking a review and reprinting it elsewhere, in whole or in any substantial part, needs our agreement first.

Where opinion ends and error begins

A verdict on a film is a judgement, and ours belongs to the Emileeid Editorial Team — you are perfectly free to disagree with it. Names, release dates and credits are a different matter: those we try to get right, though we cannot promise that every one of them is. Point out a slip through the contact page and it will be put right.

Titles and images that are not ours

Posters, stills, logos and film titles appearing in our reviews belong to the studios and rights holders behind them. They appear here for identification and comment, which is what criticism requires, and no claim of ownership is made over any of them.

Advertising and links off the site

Some of what you see here is paid placement, and some articles point to other people’s websites. Follow one of those links and you are in someone else’s hands — their material, their terms, their conduct. We can neither vet nor police it, and putting a link in an article is not a recommendation.

What we are not liable for

The site comes exactly as you find it, with no warranty attached. So far as the law allows, we accept no responsibility for loss or inconvenience anyone suffers through using the site or acting on something they read on it.

If this page changes

Occasionally these conditions get reworked. The version on screen is the one that counts, and staying on the site afterwards is how you accept it.
