Paramount Pictures just gave Hercules a release date and the film is set to open in theaters worldwide on August 8 2014. Hercules stars Dwayne Johnson, directed by Brett Ratner.
Brian De Palma and Al Pacino are once again teaming-up for the adaptation of the Joe Paterno biopic titled Happy Valley, based on a script by Dave McKenna, the film follows the rise and fall of Paterno, based on the novel of the same name by Joe Posnanski

Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity landed a release date, the pic will open on October 4 2013. Gravity stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

Scott Frazer will pen a re-write of George Mahaffey original script which followed “a young ex-military pilot who infiltrates a gang of aerial pirates working out of Bangkok and takes part in an elaborate tower heist using powered gliders and parachutes.” Michael Bay will produce.
Machete Kills finds a release date opening in theaters on September 13 2013. The film stars Dany Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Mel Gibson and many other actors.
Well this is unsurprising news, Paramount has decided that the great adaptation of Jack Reacher, will not turn into a franchise as the worldwide cumulative box office wasn’t as much as they’d hoped, in order to guarantee a sequel the film need to reach 250 million $ worldwide and so far the film is at 150 million $. Jack Reacher still did not open in key Asian territories like Korea, Japan and China, if the Asian box office draws in some cash, Paramount would probably start negotiations for a potential sequel which would move forward if they can start production with the same budget as the first film.
